Troy Parrott has issued an admission on his future ahead of the January transfer window amid links to West Ham United.
The AZ Alkmaar striker is having an exceptional campaign for both club and country and made headlines recently for his performances for the Republic of Ireland national team.
The 23-year-old ensured his country qualified for the World Cup play-offs with a hat-trick and 96th-minute winner against Hungary in the recent international break.
Given his displays, Parrott has emerged on West Ham’s radar, with them offering him a potential return to the Premier League.

Troy Parrott reveals he is happy at AZ Alkmaar
AZ Alkmaar beat Shelbourne 2-0 in the Europa League and it was one of the rare games in which Parrott failed to find the back of the net.
However, he did come close to scoring his 20th goal of the season in all competitions, but was denied by goalkeeper Wessel Speel.
After the game, the former Tottenham forward was asked about his future, given all the transfer speculation surrounding him.
He played into the interest, claiming that it meant he was doing something right, but refused to get drawn into any of the speculation.
Parrott stated that he likes where he’s playing his football and is not thinking of a move away from his club.
Premier Sports shared a video of him speaking on TikTok where he said: “Look if there’s interest there, I must be doing something right.
“As I said before, I’m really settled here, I’m really happy here. I’m really enjoying my football, so in my mind nothing has changed, I’m focused on being here, the future is the future, I just have to keep taking every game as it comes.”

Can West Ham United tempt Parrott to leave?
It’s evident that Nuno wants to sign a striker in the January transfer window.
Despite Wilson’s recent exploits, the Portuguese manager wants someone who is capable of playing 90 minutes every week and finding the back of the net regularly.
Wilson has faced fitness issues in recent years and cannot be relied on to score every other game.
Niclas Fullkrug also looks like he’s expected to leave and his departure would leave the Hammers a striker shy.
While Jarrod Bowen is capable of leading the line, he is at his best playing off the right and it makes little sense to take him out of his best position.
That means West Ham could tempt Parrott to leave and if he does see the right structure in place and believes that the East London club could fight for European football next season, he may be open to moving to the London Stadium.
He would most certainly command high wages, but if Fullkrug is off the wage bill, the club will be in a position to give Parrott what he wants.
