West Ham United fans have every right to feel disappointed with co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold.

West Ham owners have failed fans and Moyes if they don’t sign a striker he wants today

That’s according to Hammers legend Trevor Sinclair.

West Ham boss David Moyes has been left with injury-prone converted winger Michail Antonio as his only senior forward following the sale of Sebastien Haller to Ajax.

And West Ham do not look likely to get a forward in before tonight’s 11pm deadline.

Moyes wanted new striker in summer BEFORE Hammers sold Haller

West Ham boss Moyes wanted a new striker in the summer.

That was BEFORE West Ham sold Haller.

Many West Ham fans predicted this would happen. And they are furious given it could jeopardise what is West Ham’s best season for 35 years.

At the weekend West Ham fan favourite Sinclair called on supporters to lay off Sullivan, Gold and Karren Brady if they brought in a striker (talkSPORT).

Sinclair called on West Ham fans to lay off GSB if club signed striker

“I think if they do get a centre forward now, Gold, Sullivan and Brady the fans should back off them,” Sinclair said on talkSPORT.

“Because they’ve given them a squad that are playing an attractive brand of football, (Tomas) Soucek’s been brilliant.

“If they can get this one over the line and bring in a Josh King or another striker, I think they’ve got a great chance of finishing in a European spot.”

But as deadline day ticked on with no sign of a forward arrival, Sinclair said West Ham fans have every right to feel disappointed.

Hammers legend backtracks as fans vent anger over failure to sign forward

“Frustrating and I feel the fans have every right to feel disappointed once again!!,” Sinclair said on Twitter.

West Ham must now hope Antonio can stay fit and that his poor performances in the last two games are just a blip.

The powerful forward has never managed more than 30 games in a season for West Ham.

Indeed he has only managed more than 23 once, when he played 29 games in 2016/17.

Antonio has missed half of West Ham’s matches this season with two separate hamstring injuries.
