Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to make a swoop for long-standing West Ham United transfer target Leandro Trossard.

That’s according to Belgian football journalist Alexandre Braeckman who claims that Tottenham could move quickly for the 28-year-old Brighton attacker.

However, Braeckman does suggest that Trossard’s behaviour may well put off Spurs.

All of this comes after Trossard’s agent spoke out suggesting that his client wants a transfer away from Brighton after being humiliated by his manager Roberto De Zerbi.

Hammers boss David Moyes has been linked with a move to bring Trossard to the London Stadium for quite some time now.

It seems as though the door may have opened for West Ham after the 28-year-old’s agent spoke out. As soon as it opened, it may well have been slammed shut again though, with Tottenham now chasing his signature…

Tottenham could make Leandro Trossard move

Alexandre Braeckman claims that Spurs could move in quickly for the Belgium international, following his apparent fall out with Brighton boss De Zerbi:

Now, if Tottenham do sign Trossard, it will very much be their gain and West Ham’s loss.

The Belgian has everything that we are currently lacking.

The 28-year-old winger has been on fire for Brighton in the Premier League this season, with seven goals and three assists to his name in 16 games so far (Transfermarkt). He scored against us at the London Stadium earlier this season as well.

The Scot desperately needs to bring a new winger to the London Stadium, and with our current problems in the final third, Trossard would be the perfect addition.

The Brighton star has technical ability in abundance and has the kind of creativity, guile and goalscoring touch that we have desperately lacked this season.

Be Soccer have described him as ‘incredible’.

After the agent of Leandro Trossard spoke out yesterday, Moyes must not hesitate to bring him to West Ham. He could cost up to £40 million according to SI.

However, with Tottenham allegedly lining up a move to sign Leandro Trossard, Moyes will definitely have his work cut out.
