It looks like there is a Tim Steidten masterclass in session as West Ham hit Everton with transfer revenge attack.
West Ham appear to have grown sick of Everton interfering in their best laid transfer plans.
Hammers technical director Tim Steidten has identified a number of targets recently only for Premier League rivals Everton to try and hijack the moves.
West Ham want to sign Lyon centre-back Jake O’Brien.
But as the Irons were preparing their move, Everton entered the running.
Not only are the Toffees about to make an official offer, it is reported they believe the Irishman wants to join them over the likes of West Ham.
It was a similar story for West Ham with exciting target Jaden Philogene.
Toffees hijack two West Ham targets
Everton want to beat West Ham to Philogene.
It was confirmed yesterday that West Ham ‘admire’ Philogene, who has been in talks with Ipswich.
But Sean Dyche has swooped to agree a deal with Hull and have allegedly been told Philogene wants to join Everton over the Hammers and other clubs in the mix.
The Toffees could also hinder Julen Lopetegui’s plans by selling striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin to Newcastle instead of the Hammers.
But it seems a Steidten masterclass is in session as West Ham hit Everton with a transfer revenge attack.
And Everton need only take one look at Ajax to see how these situations end.

Steidten masterclass as West Ham hit Everton with revenge attack
Former Man City “wonderkid” Carlos Borges – now known as Carlos Forbs – was set to be Steidten’s first capture at West Ham last summer.
That was until Ajax swooped to “steal him” from West Ham’s grasp at the 11th hour. Or at least that’s what the Dutch giants thought at the time.
Ajax were delighted at beating West Ham to the coveted technical director’s “target”.
But fast forward to the end of the window and it was West Ham who had the last laugh.
In a smoke and mirrors move that was clearly by design, West Ham pounced to take advantage of Ajax’s need to then balance their books.
Steidten’s relationship with fellow German and then Ajax director of football Sven Mislintat helped clear the path for West Ham to sign Ajax’s two best players Mohammed Kudus and Edson Alvarez for a combined bargain of £72m.
The Dutch giants then collapsed into chaos and Mislintat would go on to be sacked just a matter of months into the job with the Kudus, Alvarez and Forbs deals cited as key reasons.
Now Steidten has launched a move to sign a versatile African star who Everton are trying to sign.
According to multiple sources such as Give Me Sport, West Ham have now hijacked Sean Dyche’s move for Cameroon international Jackson Tchatchoua.
The Belgian-born Hellas Verona star can play in both full-back positions and as a winger.

Rapid Tchatchoua fits the bill for Steidten
At 22 he fits Steidten’s recruitment profile to a tee.
And it is claimed while Everton have taken their eyes off the ball by trying to beat the Hammers to Philogene and O’Brien, Steidten has been lining up a £6.75m deal to being Tchatchoua to the London Stadium.
Tchatchoua is a rapid, tall and powerful full-back who impressed in Serie A last season.
Verona had him on loan for a season and took up the option to buy just this month.
But reports claim they intend to instantly sell him to the Premier League for a big profit with West Ham leading Everton in the race.
Everton have a delicate financial situation. But it seems they are in a hurry to invest what little money they do have after selling Ben Goddfrey to Atalanta for £10m.
Doubts over West Ham’s spending power have been dismissed after Steidten insisted the club is in an excellent position to spend before splashing £40m on Max Kilman.
Not only could West Ham now beat Everton to Tchatchoua, but Dyche’s moves for Philogene and O’Brien may dictate the sale of Calvert-Lewin too, potentially pushing him into Lopetegui’s arms.
