Hammers boss David Moyes signed a flurry of young players earlier on in the transfer window.

The only senior additions he made before yesterday, however, was Alphonse Areola on a season-long loan with an option to buy next summer and Kurt Zouma for just under £30 million.

The Hammers fans were fairly underwhelmed with that. And rightly so.

That changed yesterday, however.

West Ham made some astute deadline day signings.

David Moyes also moved on a couple of players. It was a good day all around.

Sure, we could have done with another centre-forward. Let’s trust I Moyes though. Perhaps he sees Vlasic as a potential striker? Or perhaps he’s keeping his powder dry for January?

Either way, we’re happy with our transfer business on deadline day. A couple of top class signings and loan moves away from the London Stadium for two of our very best young players.
