West Ham were busier than many people expected on transfer deadline day.

Hammers boss David Moyes signed a flurry of young players earlier on in the transfer window.
The only senior additions he made before yesterday, however, was Alphonse Areola on a season-long loan with an option to buy next summer and Kurt Zouma for just under £30 million.
The Hammers fans were fairly underwhelmed with that. And rightly so.

With Europa League football on the horizon this season, we quite simply didn’t have enough players to compete on all fronts.
That changed yesterday, however.
West Ham made some astute deadline day signings.
David Moyes also moved on a couple of players. It was a good day all around.

Sure, we could have done with another centre-forward. Let’s trust I Moyes though. Perhaps he sees Vlasic as a potential striker? Or perhaps he’s keeping his powder dry for January?
Either way, we’re happy with our transfer business on deadline day. A couple of top class signings and loan moves away from the London Stadium for two of our very best young players.
