The 28-year-old Manchester United ace spent the final four months of last season on loan with the Hammers.
And what a brilliant addition he proved to be.
Lingard bagged nine goals and four assists in 16 Premier League games for West Ham.

The fans loved Jesse and the feeling was mutual. Can we bring him back to the London Stadium though?
The 28-year-old actually could be en route to West Ham today according to claims from club insiders Claret and Hugh.
It seems as though the groundwork was laid months ago, however.
Mark Noble urged West Ham owners to sign Lingard
The Hammers skipper allegedly made it very clear that he wanted the club to bring Jesse back to East London on a permanent deal at the end of last term according to Ex:

“Mark Noble and various other players tried to convince Lingard to sign for West Ham. In the chairman’s sweet, Noble took him in there and said ‘you’ve got to sign this guy’.”
Let’s hope that Noble’s comments were noticed by the Hammers owners.
It certainly seems as though they were if West Ham insiders C&H and Ex are to be believed.
Lingard could be available for around £20 million according to The Express. If Manchester United are willing to let him leave Old Trafford, we should just pay that fee.
