David Moyes desperately wants to add a hard-working striker to his ranks at the London Stadium this summer.

And it seems as though the Scot is not prepared to give up on Alberto just yet…

The astonishing lengths that West Ham are prepared to go to sign striker Yuri Alberto

West Ham were first linked with a move to sign the Brazilian last summer. And it seems as though the club are now really ramping up their interest in the striker.

Gazeta Esportiva claim that the the Hammers are ready to offer Corinthians a 40% sell-on clause in a deal to bring Alberto the London Stadium.

That really is quite the offer. Let’s say we sell him for £20 million in a couple of years, the Brazilian outfit would then be entitled to £8 million of that fee!

He has been described as a pacy striker who is good with either foot by ESDF Analysis.

Yuri Alberto is a very hard worker as well and is always willing to make tireless runs into the channels. It’s little wonder why Moyes might be interested in bringing him to the London Stadium!

However, he is far from prolific and has averaged a goal every 3.3 games in his career to date. There are question marks as to whether he’d struggle to adjust to the ferociously paced Premier League.

In spite of all that, if Moyes brings Yuri Alberto to West Ham, it goes without saying that everyone should get behind him.
