Tammy would be a truly exceptional addition to David Moyes’s squad at the London Stadium.
The 23-year-old has pace in abundance, possesses great movement and he is a very good finisher.
Tammy Abraham certain to leave Chelsea
The Blues may well have to lower their demands for the 23-year-old. He clearly faces a bleak future at Stamford Bridge under Thomas Tuchel.
And with just two years remaining on his current deal at Chelsea, the west London outfit will surely not get anywhere near £40 million for the striker.
ExWHUemployee suggested that West Ham’s interest may well accelerate over the next few weeks with Tammy now certain to leave Stamford Bridge, when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast (May 31st):
“Tammy Abraham is the one that I believe is Moyes’s number one target. The valuations seem to be a little bit out on this, however. Moyes sees him as a £25 million forward and Chelsea see him as a £40 million player. He has definitely been told that he can leave now. So whether we do want him or not will be shown in the next few weeks.”
It seems as though the ball is in West Ham’s court.
If Moyes really wants Tammy, the Hammers board need to back him to the hilt.
Perhaps £30 million would be a fair price for both West Ham and Chelsea.
We just need to get this one done as soon as possible. Abraham would undoubtedly be a huge hit at the London Stadium. Come on Sully, make it happen!
