There is still a chance that West Ham bring 26-year-old ex-Chelsea ace back to the Premier League in the January transfer window.
That’s according to football journalist Dean Jones who told Give Me Sport that Hammers boss David Moyes is still keen to bring Torino right-back Ola Aina to the London Stadium this month.
Signing a top-class right-back before the January transfer window closes will clearly be one of Moyes’s main priorities.
Vladimir Coufal and Ben Johnson seem to have regressed badly over the past 12 months or so. And an upgrade on them is now an urgent requirement in my opinion.

Ola Aina is a man who has been linked with a move to the London Stadium since the summer.
Now, the Nigeria international certainly isn’t an elite player, but he’d undoubtedly be an upgrade on Coufal and Johnson…
West Ham eyeing Ola Aina January transfer
It seems as though the ex-Chelsea defender is still very much on David Moyes’s radar.
Football journalist Dean Jones believes that West Ham are still in the race for Aina’s signature, along with four other clubs.
He told Give Me Sport:

There is still a chance. He is one of the options that they’ve had in mind. Honestly, there are three or four teams at the moment with him on a shortlist. It’s not 100% that he moves in this transfer window at all, but given the amount of interest it does seem like it’s feasible.
I wouldn’t mind Moyes bringing Aina to the London stadium, but I just get the feeling that the Scot could do so, so much better.
He is a very strong, and physically fit right-back. However he doesn’t contribute enough in the final third for my liking.
The modern day game is all about having swashbuckling wing-backs bombing up and down the flanks.
Aina is just not that man. Don’t get me wrong, I would prefer the Nigerian starting over Coufal and Johnson. I just think there are better options out there for West Ham in the January transfer window.
