Southampton are said to be keen to sign a player from West Ham United on deadline day.
West Ham have made one addition so far on deadline day – the loan signing of Evan Ferguson from Brighton.
The Hammers have brought James Ward-Prowse back from his loan spell with Nottingham Forest as well.
Now attention might be turning to moving some of the deadwood on from the London Stadium.
Graham Potter has a decent group of players at his disposal, but some of them are clearly terrible fits for his system.

One player in particular seems destined to leave the Hammers.
However, whether that will be on deadline day or in five or six month’s time is unclear right now.
Southampton want to sign West Ham player on deadline day
The Hammers could let one player go before tonight’s 11pm deadline it seems.
Danny Ings is being linked with a move to Southampton on transfer deadline day, according to Caught Offside and The Mirror.
It is being claimed that Evan Ferguson’s arrival at the London Stadium could spell the end of Ings’ time with the club.
The 32-year-old will be out of contract with the Hammers in June, so if he does leave this window to join a domestic club, he will draw in a small fee for us.

He is, of course, fee to discuss pre-contract terms with foreign teams.
However, Ings moving back to Southampton would make sense for all parties involved as far as I’m concerned.
The Saints desperately need a centre-forward, and he won’t be getting anywhere near the Hammers starting XI now that Ferguson has joined the club.
Hopefully West Ham manage to sell Danny Ings on transfer deadline day.
If nothing else, it would be great to get his extortionate wages off the books.
