West Ham United have been given a boost after a new claim over Manchester United’s pursuit of Declan Rice.
West Ham fans are fearing the worst over Rice’s future.
The midfielder has become West Ham’s star player and most valuable asset.
Indeed Rice has arguably been West Ham’s best and most consistent performer over the last two years.
Ex Hammer Frank Lampard wants to bring Rice back to Chelsea where he started out as a youngster, according to a report from Sky Sports.
Rice consistently linked with Prem trio
The 21-year-old has also consistently been linked with Manchester United and Manchester City (MEN).
At the weekend reliable West Ham insider ExWHUemployee moved to clarify West Ham’s stance over a potential big money move for their key player.

Ex confirmed Chelsea, Man United and City were all interested in a post on Twitter.
But West Ham have been boosted after a source with close ties to Old Trafford made a new claim yesterday.
Manchester Evening News claims Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has cooled his interest in Rice and called off a move.
Source with close ties to Man United claim interest has cooled
“United have been linked with another bid for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice but the MEN understands United’s interest in him has cooled,” MEN reports.
“(An) obvious target for United last year was Declan Rice, who was playing well as a defensive midfielder for West Ham United and breaking into the England side. It was a position United needed to strengthen and Rice ticked plenty of boxes.
“He didn’t sign last summer and United’s interest has since cooled… United’s need for a player in the the 21-year-old’s mould has decreased in recent months and while he ticks a couple of boxes as an ideal target, he hasn’t ticked the fundamental one this season, which is being good enough to play for the club.”
Rice would walk into Red Devils team but all the better for West Ham
West Ham fans will be pleased at that news. Even if the notion Rice is not good enough to play for the current Man United is somewhat ludicrous.
Hammers fans would be devastated to see their new hero leave. They want the club to build a team around him and even the player himself has stated his desire to replace Mark Noble as captain one day (whufc.com).
According to Football Insider West Ham co-owner David Sullivan is desperate to keep Rice in the next window.
But speaking on Sky Sports last week, West Ham star Robert Snodgrass fired a warning that it is ‘only a matter of time before the big guns come knocking’ for his young teammate.
