Reliable West Ham United insider ExWHUemployee has spoken out on the club’s stance over Declan Rice.

Rice has become West Ham’s star player and most valuable asset.

The midfield enforcer has arguably been West Ham’s best and most consistent performer over the last two years.

Ex Hammer Frank Lampard wants to bring Rice back to Chelsea where he started out as a youngster, according to a report from Sky Sports.

Rice consistently linked with big move

The 21-year-old has also consistently been linked with Manchester United and Manchester City (MEN).

Speaking on Sky Sports last week, West Ham star Robert Snodgrass fired a warning that it is ‘only a matter of time before the big guns come knocking’ for his young teammate.

West Ham fans would be devastated to see Rice leave. They want the club to build a team around him and even the player himself has stated his desire to replace Mark Noble as captain one day (whufc.com).

When West Ham fans want answers they turn to reliable insider ExWHUemployee.

Insider clarifies West Ham’s stance over star man

And last night the anonymous Twitter and podcast personality moved to clarify West Ham’s stance over a potential big money move for their key player.

“Yes the Manchester clubs have always had an interest as do Chelsea too,” ExWHUemployee claimed on Twitter.

“They would be silly not to.

“The only thing that has changed recently is the financial situation (as a result of the global health crisis) although (the) club would still demand a large fee to even consider selling.”

West Ham ‘planning squad overhaul’ – report

So there you have it West Ham fans.

The interest is very real.

But if West Ham do sell it will likely only be for a record fee for a defensive midfielder.

In the wake of Ex’s comments, the likes of The Daily Mail are reporting West Ham have made Rice available for £70million.

The report claims nobody at West Ham is safe as the club looks to raise funds to rebuild the squad under David Moyes.
