He is incredibly mobile, possesses blistering pace and works his socks off each and every time he takes to the pitch.

Armstrong is a great finisher as well. He finished second in the Championship scoring charts behind only Ivan Toney with 28 goals in 40 league games for Blackburn this season (Transfermarkt).

Joe Cole once raved about Adam Armstrong

Cole played with Armstrong in 2015 when they were both at Coventry City.

The Blackburn hitman impressed during his time with the Sky Blues, scoring 20 goals in 40 games (Soccerbase).

And Cole likened Armstrong to the great Sergio Aguero when speaking to the FA’s official website six years ago:

“Armstrong reminds me of [Sergio] Aguero, he’s of the same build and he’s hungry for goals. In a lovely way he’s selfish for goals and has the ingredients to be a top player and go on to score many more goals.”

Armstrong certainly has the same low centre of gravity as Aguero.

If you watch the 24-year-old play, he possesses a lot of similar traits to the Argentinian legend.

If he continues to improve, he will undoubtedly go on to become a top class centre-forward in the Premier League.

According to a report from Football League World, Armstrong could be available for £20 million or even less in the summer.

West Ham simply just have to get this one done. The Blackburn ace is clearly a top class player. And he has everything that David Moyes looks for in a striker.
