Sky Sports Italy are ‘confident’ West Ham United are on the verge of signing £43m striker Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo.
The success of this transfer window will be heavily judged on West Ham’s ability to finally sign a quality striker.
Sassuolo and Italy forward Scamacca is certainly that.

The 23-year-old has emerged as one of David Moyes’ prime targets.
The latest speculation has seen West Ham reportedly enter talks with Sassuolo for Italy striker Scamacca (Football Italia).
West Ham are said to have outbid European giants PSG for the Italian.

West Ham were further boosted by reports from Italy yesterday claiming Sassuolo are increasingly interested in signing Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti as a replacement for Scamacca (Sportitalia and Sempre Inter).
The reports stated Sassuolo have made a move for Pinamonti as Scamacca “looks closer and closer to leaving for West Ham or PSG”.

Now Sky Sports Italy claim they are ‘confident’ West Ham are on the verge of signing £43m striker Scamacca.
The report, also carried by Football Italia, claims West Ham are closing on sealing a deal for the Italy international.
“Sky Sport Italia are confident that West Ham United are on the verge of securing Scamacca, as they are offering close to Sassuolo’s €50m (£43m) demand, far more than the €30m (£25m) plus bonuses coming from Paris, Football Italia states.

This would be a sensational signing by West Ham and well worth the long 18-month wait.
