Italian side Roma have launched a crushing revenge attack on West Ham and still hold out hope that Crysencio Summerville will sign for them instead of Al Hilal.
West Ham could be burned twice by Roma after major transfer developments overnight.
The Italian side had been the frontrunners to sign Hammers ace Crysencio Summerville until last night.
Roma made a series of bids below West Ham’s £50m release clause for Dutch winger Summerville, which were all rejected by Hammers chief Daniel Kretinsky.

It was a risky game from both Roma and Kretinsky given Summerville’s clause has now expired.
Saudi side Al Hilal took advantage of that overnight by blowing everyone else out of the water and agreeing a deal worth a total, including add-ons, of £68m.

Hammers News revealed mega rich Saudi outfit Al Hilal’s interest in West Ham winger Summerville was real last week.
But we also reported that a move to Saudi was not Summerville’s preference with Champions League football the World Cup star’s priority.
That limited what West Ham could push for in terms of fee – until Al Hilal agreed that blockbuster deal.
Now Roma have launched a crushing revenge bid on West Ham and still hold out hope of a late deal with Summerville.
According to reports in Italy, Roma have made a move for top West Ham target Axel Disasi and are confident he will join them.
Hammers favourite Disasi is one of 12 players Chelsea are desperate to sell to comply with financial rules.

Top Chelsea insider Simon Phillips revealed last week that the Hammers have lodged a £25m bid with the Blues for Disasi since Kretinsky became majority owner.
Phillips also revealed Disasi was ‘yet to turn the Hammers down’ even if a deal has always seemed like a pipe dream in the wake of West Ham’s relegation from the Premier League.

After being snubbed by West Ham on Summerville, now Roma have made a bid for Disasi and have the lure of Champions League football.
Meanwhile, it is also being claimed in Italy that Roma boss Gian Piero Gasperini believes he can persuade Summerville to join his side instead of Al Hilal and talks are reportedly planned today.
West Ham could, by the letter of the law, report Roma for tapping up if that takes place without a club-to-club agreement over a deal.
Gasperini ruled out a move for West Ham winger Summerville at the weekend, saying his wage demands were too expensive.
The wages on offer in Saudi – amounting to over £4m per season – will far outweigh what Roma can afford.
But it is being claimed Gasperini will look to play on the fact Summerville is too young to play in a lesser league like Saudi, especially having just broken into the Holland senior side.
It means Roma could not only dash West Ham’s hopes of signing Disasi but cost the Hammers around £10-15m in guaranteed money for Summerville if he opts against joining Al Hilal.
