After missing out to Aston Villa for a loan move the season before, it was third time lucky for West Ham when they landed Disasi on deadline day in the winter window.
Relegation looked to have put paid to West Ham’s hopes of signing Disasi this summer.

But leading Chelsea insider Simon Phillips revealed the Hammers have lodged a £25m bid with the Blues for Disasi since Daniel Kretinsky became majority owner.
And Phillips also revealed Disasi was ‘yet to turn the Hammers down’.
Now there is fresh encouragement for West Ham in their pursuit of the 28-year-old.

After shelling out for Rogers and a number of other players already this summer, Kinsella has confirmed Chelsea want to sell or loan out at least a dozen players from the 37 senior options on their books – and that includes West Ham target Disasi.
It was previously reported that Chelsea have essentially accepted West Ham’s £25m offer for Disasi and the ball remains firmly in the player’s court.

On joining the Hammers in the winter, Disasi revealed his aunt, who lives in east London, is a big West Ham fan.
With Chelsea desperately looking to recoup funds, the huge spend on Rogers can only help West Ham’s case.
Now it is down to Disasi and whether he prefers other options.
Although West Ham fans were encouraged by a recent post on social media from the defensive leader as he trained during the summer with Hammers midfield ace Soungoutou Magassa.
