West Ham United could sign Said Benrahma on Wednesday it emerged last night.
‘Genius’ West Ham starting to see just how right Balague was over Hammers star
That’s according to respected journalist David Ornstein who claims West Ham have agreed a deal with Brentford and a medical is likely for Wednesday.
Hammers boss David Moyes is desperately short of players. Nine departures over the summer window has left the Scot with just 20 senior players.

West Ham deal for Benrahma is agreed with Brentford
According to Sky Sports and a host of other sources, West Ham are set to sign Benrahma in a deal which could reach in the region of £30m.
But reports claim personal terms are yet to be agreed with the Algeria star.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano even claimed last night personal terms are a problem which could threaten the deal.
“But personal terms are not agreed yet… and it’s a problem. Let’s see. Work in progress,” Romano said in response to The Guardian’s story about the transfer.

‘Medical likely Wednesday’ says respected journalist
But last night respected Athletic journalist Ornstein, who has proved sage in his transfer updates for many years, delivered some good news for West Ham fans over Benrahma.
Ornstein revealed the deal has been concluded between West Ham and Brentford for £30m including add ons.
And he said the medical is likely to held when Benrahma returns from international duty on with Algeria on Wednesday.
That means the exciting attacker could be unveiled on Wednesday or Thursday by West Ham.
But Ornstein too repeated the line that personal terms are yet to be rubber stamped.
“Club-to-club agreement for Said Benrahma to join West Ham from Brentford,” Ornstein said on Twitter.
“£30m inc add-ons. Medical likely Weds after int’l duty. Per Jacob Steinberg (Guardian) personal terms still to be done, Sky Sports (reporter) Lyall (Thomas) first with info last night.”

Signing confuses some fans after Diangana sale
The impending signing of Benrahma seems to be dividing opinion among West Ham fans.
Many don’t understand why the club elected to sell homegrown winger Grady Diangana – one of the best attackers in the Championship last season – only to sign a player of similar ilk.
Other supporters feel West Ham’s transfer window just didn’t work out as they had planned and so Benrahma is an exciting capture made out of necessity.
