Everton have been linked with a shock move for West Ham United outcast Felipe Anderson but it all hinges on one thing.
That’s according to Italian football journalist and transfer market insider Nicolo Schira.
West Ham and Everton fans will know Schira’s name well. He was the first to report on Sebastien Haller’s record £45million move to east London in 2019.

Ane he also called Allan’s move to Everton before anyone else.
Well now he has delivered an update on a potential departure from West Ham, with news on Everton’s attempts to sign Anderson.
The 27-year-old was West Ham’s record £35million signing before Haller came along.
But the Brazilian has struggled over the past year or so.
After a brilliant debut season, during which he scored 10 goals and provided eight assists, Anderson suffered second season syndrome.
As a result, the former Lazio star was farmed out on loan to Porto in October. But the experience has proved to be a nightmare for the winger with coach Sergio Conceicao said to have been against the move from the start.
Anderson has made just three appearances for Porto, totalling only 112 minutes. And West Ham are said to be looking into cancelling the loan to set up a move elsewhere – which is possible under new FIFA rules as a result of the pandemic.
According to Schira, Everton’s interest – first reported by TEAMtalk on Sunday – is very much genuine.
Anderson move to Goodison hinges on Bernard departure
It has been claimed that Ancelotti admires the South American West Ham attacker from their days in Italy.
But Everton signing the West Ham outcast all boils down to one factor according to Schira.
And that is whether the Toffees can offload Anderson’s fellow Brazilian Bernard first.
Schira also revealed that the wheels on any deal could be greased by the fact Bernard and Anderson share the same agent.
Brazilian duo share the same agent
“Felipe Anderson wants to leave Porto,” Schira said on Twitter yesterday.
“The Brazilian winger will return to the Premier League at West Ham, but Everton have also shown interest if Bernard leaves (AS Roma are still interested).
“The two Brazilian player have the same agent Giuliano Bertolucci.”
If Ancelotti gets the best out of Anderson – and Everton get the player who shone for West Ham in his first season – then it could be an excellent move for all parties.
But first they must ship out Bernard – who Everton ironically beat West Ham to signing back in 2018 – The Sun.
Both West Ham and Everton are looking to build on excellent starts to the season with business in the January window.
Under David Moyes West Ham have made their best start to a campaign for 22 years and sit just three points off fifth place.
Everton moved up to fourth on Tuesday night with a 2-1 win at Wolves.
