West Ham United are reportedly keen to sign exciting Brazilian attacker Tete on a free transfer in the summer.
The 22-year-old joined Lyon on a short-term deal in March until the end of the season after his contract with Shakhtar Donetsk was terminated due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

FIFA opened a short window (that closed on April 7th) to allow players in Russia and Ukraine to find new clubs.
Players contracted to clubs in Russia and Ukraine were able to suspend their terms of employment until June 30th, as outlined here on FIFA’s official website.
The Premier League blocked any potential signings mid-season, however, in order to maintain sporting integrity (Sky Sports).

Meanwhile, Lyon took advantage of the new rule by bringing Tete to the Groupama Stadium from Shakhtar Donetsk on a free.
And now West Ham could try to sign him in the summer…
Tete a target for West Ham on a free transfer this summer
talkSPORT claims that the Brazilian ace is very much on the Hammers’ radar ahead of the summer transfer window.
Tete will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season and we think that if Moyes manages to bring him to the London Stadium, it would be a quite stunning capture for West Ham.

The 22-year-old has bagged one goal and one assist in seven games for Lyon since joining them five weeks ago. He racked up 31 goals and 15 assists in 108 games for Shakhtar (Transfermarkt).
Tete possesses skill and pace in abundance and his playing style is quintessentially Brazilian.
He’s only 22, so is far from the finished article. The South American has so much talent and potential though.
Tete could go on to become one of the elite wingers in world football if he continues to work hard and applies himself correctly both on and off the pitch.
West Ham signing Tete on a free transfer this summer would be truly sensational business.
