Hammers boss David Moyes will undoubtedly be on the look-out for a new central defender next month.
The Scot brought Craig Dawson to the London Stadium on loan from Watford in the summer but he is still yet to play a game for West Ham’s senior side.

Signing an established central defender should be one of the Hammers’ priorities in the summer.
And Eurosport claims that £80k-a-week Manchester United man Phil Jones could be an option for West Ham.
Most Hammers fans will not be happy if we signed Jones, however.
The 28-year-old has experienced horrendous injury problems of late. The 2012/13 Premier League winner has only played eight games in all competitions for the Red Devils since the start of last season (Transfermarkt).

Jones, a £16 million signing from Blackburn in 2011 (Guardian), has earned 27 international caps for England.
It is claimed that Manchester United will now demand around £12 million for the defender’s services (Metro).
It’s clear that the 28-year-old was once a top defender. Those days are long gone, however. And West Ham absolutely must avoid a move to sign Jones in January.
Moyes should be targeting young and hungry players with high ceilings. Unfortunately for the Man United ace, he doesn’t fit into that category whatsoever.
