West Ham United reportedly want to sign Eintracht Frankfurt ace Filip Kostic in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to a report from Sky Germany who claim that Frankfurt will ask for around €15 million (£12.4 million) for Kostic in the summer.
West Ham boss David Moyes needs to strengthen in pretty much every department at the London Stadium this summer.
The additions of a striker and a centre-back will be the Scot’s priorities. The addition of another hard-working wide player will be on Moyes’s wish-list as well in the summer.
And it seems as though the Scot has someone in particular in mind…
West Ham eyeing summer Kostic swoop
Sky Germany reckon that the 45-capped Serbia international is firmly on the Hammers’ radar ahead of the summer transfer window.
We believe that Kostic would be a fine addition to Moyes’s ranks at West Ham.
The 29-year-old Eintracht Frankfurt ace is an incredibly hard-working player.
Kostic is a winger by trade but has operated effectively as a wing-back for Eintracht Frankfurt on numerous occasions this season.
He is old fashioned in the sense that he’s left-footed and plays on the left! As a result, Kostic is much more of a provider than a goalscorer.
The Serbian has 13 assists and seven goals to his name in 36 games for Eintracht Frankfurt this season (Transfermarkt). That’s a healthy return by anyone’s standards.
On face value, he has everything that West Ham boss David Moyes looks for in potential new signings.
Spending £12.4 million on Kostic this summer sounds like incredible value considering what he would bring to this West Ham team.
Hopefully the Hammers manage to get this one all wrapped up and done as soon as possible.
