Hammers boss David Moyes may well be on the look-out to sign a new goalkeeper before the start of next season.

Lukasz Fabianski and Darren Randolph will br 36 and 34 respectively before the new season starts.

The Poland and Republic of Ireland internationals are both on the decline. That seems slightly harsh but there is no room for sentiment in the Premier League.

West Ham eyeing Alphonse Areola swoop?

The Express claims that the Hammers are keen to bring the 28-year-old France international to the London Stadium in the summer.

Areola has impressed during a loan stint with Fulham this season.

The Cottagers have an option to buy the classy stopper With Fulham set for relegation, however, there is no chance Areola will want to join a Championship club (Evening Standard).

The Frenchman is a fine shot-stopper. He is calm and authoritative and is a very good organiser.

Areola is pretty good with the ball at his feet as well.

The 28-year-old could be available for around £20 million this summer (The Sun). That seems a little bit steep. Especially when there are so many other positions at West Ham in such urgent need of attention.

Having said that, the addition of a top class goalkeeper should be a priority for the Hammers as well.

And we could do a lot worse than Alphonse Areola, that’s fore sure.
