West Ham United could sign Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha for around £25 million this summer according to a report from Il Messaggero.

The Albania international is allegedly refusing to sign a new deal at Lazio.
The 25-year-old’s current deal at the Stadio Olimpico expires in the summer of 2022.
So the Serie A outfit will surely be keen to move him on this summer rather than risk losing him for nothing the following year.
La Laziali recently reported that West Ham are lining up a move to sign Strakosha as a potential replacement for Lukasz Fabianski.
David Moyes should be looking at finding a long-term replacement for Fab. The Pole will be 36 before the start of next season.
West Ham signing Thomas Strakosha would be a smart move
The 25-year-old Lazio stopper has played 174 games for the Italian outfit. And he has let in 209 goals, whilst keeping 49 clean sheets in the process (Transfermarkt).
The Albania international is a top class goalkeeper.
He is good with his feet, a great shot stopper and standing at 6ft 4in tall, he is very commanding in the air.
Perhaps £25 million is a tad too much for the Lazio ace, however. Especially with just over 12 months remaining on his current deal.
£15 million would seem like a more reasonable fee. And even then, it would be somewhat of a shock if the West Ham board spent that much on a goalkeeper.
If the Hammers are to make genuine progress as a football club, however, the addition of a top class goalkeeper should be somewhat of a priority over the next 12 months.
And Thomas Strakosha would be an excellent option for West Ham.
