The Hammers could face competition from Napoli and Newcastle for the 24-year-old hitman, however (Calcio Mercato).
West Ham now need to sign a new striker as a matter of urgency.
Michail Antonio is the only recognised senior centre-forward at David Moyes’s disposal at the London Stadium.
And that will be a real worry for the Hammers fans.
We have already been linked with a plethora of potential signings.

Calcio Mercato report this morning that West Ham are ready to battle Napoli and Newcastle for Spezia striker M’Bala Nzola.
West Ham ready to swoop in for M’Bala Nzola
The 24-year-old has been on fire in Italy this season, scoring eight goals in 12 Serie A outings for Spezia (Transfermarkt).
The Frenchman is an industrious striker, is strong when playing with his back to goal but is also willing to make those tireless runs into the channels.

Nzola is a decent finisher as well. Eight goals in 12 games is testament to that.
The Spezia hitman is obviously unproven in the Premier League, however. So signing him would represent somewhat of a risk for West Ham.
Quite how much the Hammers would have to pay for M’Bala Nzola is unclear. At least we have some funds to spend now after the sale of Sebastien Haller. Quite who David Moyes will bring into the London Stadium this month, however, remains to be seen.
