Report: West Ham now prioritising move to sign 'world-class' £19 million 3x league winner Thilo Kehrer

West Ham United are allegedly eyeing a move to sign Paris Saint-Germain defender Thilo Kehrer this summer.

That’s according to a report from The Evening Standard who claim the Hammers boss David Moyes is pushing really hard to bring the 25-year-old PSG ace to the London Stadium before our next Premier League game.

The 20-capped Germany international is the number one transfer target for Moyes and getting a deal done for him will be vital with Nayef Aguerd out injured and Issa Diop allegedly closing in on a move to Fulham.

Angelo Ogbonna is still nowhere near fully fit either.

The addition of a top-class central defender will be crucial for the Hammers, if we are to enjoy success on all fronts this season.

And it seems as though Moyes has one man in particular in mind…

West Ham eyeing Thilo Kehrer swoop

The Evening Standard reckon that the PSG star is Moyes’s number one target between now and the end of the transfer window.

What a signing the German would be for West Ham. He can operate in either full-back positions as well!

Kehrer is absolutely rapid and is one of Germany’s fastest players according to Sport Mob. When he was at Schalke, the Bundesliga’s official website described him as a potentially ‘world-class’ player.

He’s a three time league winner, having enjoyed great success at Parc des Princes.

The 25-year-old is an exceptional passer of the football as well.

In 27 Ligue 1 appearances for PSG last season, he made an average of 43.1 passes per match and recorded an incredibly successful completion rate of 94.7% (Who Scored).

Standing at 6ft 1in tall, Kehrer isn’t the tallest of centre-backs, but he possesses an incredible leap, similar to that of Manchester City defender Nathan Ake.

The German’s ability to play in a variety fo defensive positions will obviously appeal to David Moyes. And he could be available for just €22 million (£19 million) this summer according to PSG Talk.

That would be unbelievable value in my book.

And we would absolutely love to see Moyes bring Thilo Kehrer to West Ham this summer.
