After some woeful performances last season, Johnson fell well down the full-back pecking order under Hammers boss David Moyes.
In my opinion, he’s certainly not good enough for West Ham and I don’t think he has what it takes to be playing Premier League football.
It seems as though Moyes has the same belief…
West Ham now expect to sell Ben Johnson this summer
Manuel Lanzini has already left the club on a free transfer.
It was claimed yesterday that Thilo Kehrer could be in line for a shock London Stadium exit. Declan Rice will obviously leave the Hammers as well.
And now it seems like Ben Johnson could be another player who departs this summer, according to The Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg.

I think that Moyes will be right to sell Johnson if he can this summer – he’s quite simply not good enough as far as I’m concerned.
And if Everton want to sign the 23-year-old, we should let them have him. He’s out of contract at the London Stadium next summer.
So West Ham should still be able to get a reasonable fee for Ben Johnson this summer.
The sooner that he is sold the better, as harsh as that may sound. The truth of the matter is that there is no room for sentiment at elite level sport.
