The Hammers number one goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski will be 36 in April and he is out of contract in the summer.

The Athletic claims that West Ham would like to tie the Poland international down to a new deal but as yet, talks have not begun.

Darren Randolph is David Moyes’s number two whilst Joseph Anang, Nathan Trott and Krisztian Hegyi are coming through the ranks at the London Stadium.

It could be argued that we need to sign a top class goalkeeper within the next year.

West Ham to sign West Ham Ondrej Kolar?

And The Athletic suggest that the Hammers could attempt to sign Slavia Prague stopper Ondrej Kolar.

He is knows as ‘The Rock’ according to Claret and Hugh.

The 26-year-old is Slavia Prague’s number one goalkeeper. In 128 games for the Czech giants, Kolar has let in just 94 goals and kept 71 clean sheets in the process (Transfermarkt).

West Ham have a great relationship with Slavia Prague, having signed Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal from the Czech giants over the past 12 months.

It is unclear as to how much Kolar would cost.

Considering the fact that he is Slavia’s number one goalkeeper, however, he certainly won’t come cheap.

So maybe we will have to wait until next summer before we can make a move for him.

And bringing Kolar to the London Stadium in order to provide competition for Fabianski would be a smart move from West Ham.
