And he has reportedly impressed David Moyes, who is desperate to add another central midfielder to West Ham’s ranks.
West Ham have a worrying lack of strength in depth in the middle of the park.

Beyond Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek, Moyes has only ageing captain Mark Noble to call on.
And it has been clear in recent matches that West Ham struggle with Noble in the side.
Dasilva’s brilliant displays have helped Brentford to the top of the Championship. And he has been their star player in the Bees’s fantastic run to the Carabao Cup semi-finals – where they face Spurs over two legs, starting next week.
West Ham will be watching that closely if a new report from The Guardian is anything to go by.
Hammers want England Under 21 and Brentford star Dasilva in January – report
The Guardian has suggested the Hammers are keen to sign Dasilva in January.
It comes after the Hammers raided Brentford for star man Said Benrahma in the last transfer window.
West Ham boss Moyes is known to ask his players for advice on signing their former teammates.
He has demonstrated that with the capture of Vladimir Coufal after the right-back was vouched for by Tomas Soucek.
So it may well be Benrahma has recommended Dasilva to West Ham.
The Hammers would have to dish out a big fee to land the Ilford-born star, though, according to The Guardian.
And according to West Ham insiders Claret & Hugh, money is tight again this window.
West Ham fans have heard that many times before. And invariably the club’s poverty pleading owners do end up pulling off some business if the club really needs it.

Dasilva is a rare breed of footballer who turned his back on a Premier League club to forge a career for himself in the Championship.
Dasilva was in Arsenal’s academy from the age of eight. And the Gunners offered him a new contract in 2018.
But the box-to-box midfielder turned it down and left for Brentford where he has truly blossomed.
Dasilva scored 10 goals last season. And he already has four and three assists this term.
He is exactly the sort of signing West Ham should be making. And Dasilva fits the mould of player Moyes is looking to bring to the club; young, talented, energetic and hungry.
Dasilva is an all-action central midfielder and could forge a brilliant partnership with Rice which would allow Soucek to get forward more in games.
Whether West Ham have the financial wherewithal to make a deal happen next month remains to be seen.
David Sullivan and David Gold found a way to make the Benrahma deal happen.
But they may have soured relations with Brentford in the process after 11th hour controversy over the Algerian’s medical forced a complete restructure of the deal.
