Report: West Ham keen to bring 24-year-old back to London from Premier League rivals in January

West Ham could go back in for Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka when the January transfer window opens.

That’s according to a report from The Athletic who claim that Manchester United plan sit down for talks with the 24-year-old regarding his future at Old Trafford before the January transfer window opens.

Hammers boss David Moyes allegedly tried desperately to bring Wan-Bissaka to the London Stadium on transfer deadline day in the summer window.

The Scot was unable to sign the ex-Crystal Palace defender, however, after Manchester United failed to bring Sergino Dest to Old Trafford.

Moyes is seemingly ready to have another bite at the cherry in January, however…

The Athletic reckon that the Hammers could go back in for the 24-year-old right-back, if he is told that he won’t be featuring regularly under Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.

He joined Manchester United three years ago from Crystal Palace for around £50 million (Independent).

Things haven’t quite worked out for him at Man United but we believe that he’d be a sensational signing for West Ham.

Wan-Bissaka possesses blistering pace. And that recovery speed would have enabled us to push further up the pitch, which ties in perfectly with Moyes saying that he wants his team to become more of a possession based side.

If you are to do that, you need real recovery pace at the back and AWB possesses that in abundance.

The Manchester United right-back is an exceptional defender and is one of the very best tacklers around.

Manchester United allegedly could demand around £25 million for Wan-Bissaka (Si). That sounds like an unbelievable bargain in our book.

David Moyes should not hesitate to bring Wan-Bissaka back to the London for that kind of money.

We would love the 24-year-old to sign for West Ham in the January transfer window.

Wan-Bissaka would be a major upgrade on Vladimir Coufal, that’s for sure.
