West Ham United have allegedly submitted a €30 million (£25 million) bid for talented Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski.
That’s according to a report from Calcio Napoli 24 who claim that the Hammers offer includes an extra €5 million in performance related bonuses.

That brings the potential total fee to around €35 million (£29.4 million) but the problem is that Napoli want more money for Zielinski.
Calcio Napoli 24 reckon that West Ham need to increase their offer for the 28-year-old by another €15 million (£12.8 million) if David Moyes is to bring him to the London Stadium this summer.

Around £42 million is an awful lot of money to be paying for a 28-year-old. Zielinski is a very good player indeed but we believe that Moyes should pay no more than £30 million to bring him to West Ham this summer.
The Hammers have already offered personal terms to the Pole. However, it seems as though this could be a really difficult one to get over the line this summer.
West Ham make Zielinski bid
Calcio Napoli 24 are reporting that the Hammers have submitted an official offer for the 72-capped Poland international.
However, we need to raise our offer by a further £12.8 million if Moyes is to get his man.
Zielinski would be a great signing for West Ham in the summer transfer window.
The 28-year-old is undoubtedly a huge talent and has the kind of ability that would definitely take West Ham’s attacking play to another level.
Zielinski bagged eight goals and five assists in 42 games for Napoli last season and in the 2020/21 campaign, he racked up 10 goals and 13 assists in 47 games (Transfermarkt).
In 35 Serie A outings last season, the Poland international made 36.1 passes on average per game and recorded an impressive completion rate of 84.8%. He also made an average of 1.4 key passes per match (Who Scored).

Former Poland manager Paulo Sousa described the Napoli midfielder as ‘exceptional’ (The Guardian).
And if West Ham manage to sign Zielinski this summer, we really will be in dreamland.
One thing to note though, is the fact that £42 million would be a lot of money to spend on a 28-year-old. Perhaps £25-30 million would be a fairer price to pay.
That’s roughly what West Ham have bid for Zielinski according to Calcio Napoli 24.
Whether that is enough to get the deal done for the 28-year-old remains to be seen though.
