West Ham United have already instigated talks with Manchester United regarding the permanent signing of Jesse Lingard according to a report from Fichajes.

Hammers boss David Moyes brought the 28-year-old to the London Stadium on loan in January.
That deal now looks like a truly inspired one from the Scot.

Lingard has made a huge impact with West Ham. He has racked up four goals and one assist in six games for the Hammers so far and he has completely transformed the manner in which we operate in the final third.
It will be vital for Moyes to get the 24-capped England international signed up on a permanent deal in the summer.
West Ham to sign Jesse Lingard permanently?
Fichajes reckon there is a good chance that exactly that will happen.
It is claimed that West Ham have already opened talks to sign Lingard. Manchester United allegedly want around €22 million (£18.5 million) for the 28-year-old. The Hammers don’t want to pay quite that much, however.
It is fairly obvious to see that Jesse doesn’t have much of a future under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford with Bruno Fernandes at the club.

So perhaps Man United will be tempted to move Lingard on for closer to £15 million. Who knows.
In fairness, the 28-year-old has been so good for West Ham that £20 million, or even £25 million, would be good business for us.
He seems more than happy at the London Stadium. There is no reason why the Englishman won’t want to sign for West Ham permanently this summer. As long as the Hammers owners are prepared to match his ambitions of course.
Let’s just hope that whatever happens, West Ham manage to get a deal to sign Lingard over the line. We had a glimpse of life without him on Sunday night. And life without Jesse doesn’t bode well for us, that’s for sure.
