West Ham are planning a January swoop for Sporting Lisbon winger Jovane Cabral, according to a report from Portuguese media outlet A Bola.

The Hammers were heavily linked with the 22-year-old during the summer transfer window.
A Bola claimed in September that David Moyes wanted to bring Cabral to the London Stadium.
That obviously didn’t happen, however. West Ham ended up signing Vladimir Coufal, Said Benrahma and Craig Dawson on loan.
But it seems as though the Hammers could go back in for Cabral. That’s according to A Bola.
The Portuguese publication claims that Sporting Lisbon value the winger at around £23 million. And that could be a real bargain, considering that Sporting are trying to raise his current £55 million release clause to £90 million, according to O Jogo.
Stats
The 22-year-old racked up six goals and three assists in 16 Primeira Liga games for Sporting last season (Transfermarkt).
In those 16 outings, the Cape Verde international averaged 2.9 shots, 1.3 key passes and 2.3 dribbles per game (Who Scored).
This season, Cabral has racked up one goal and one assist in five league games (Who Scored).
Cabral is a decent player. But in truth, we really don’t need another winger. West Ham should be prioritising moves for a centre-back, a central midfielder and a centre-forward in January and next summer.
£23 million for Cabral is a very fair price. But there would be no value in pursuing the 22-year-old for the Hammers.
