According to a report from Turkish media outlet Fotospor, West Ham asked the agent of Besiktas striker Vincent Aboubakar to travel to London in order to discuss the prospect of signing the 69-capped Cameroon international.

Hammers boss David Moyes will be desperate to add an established goalscorer to his ranks at the London Stadium before the transfer window slams shut.
It is now nearly three weeks since West Ham sold Sebastien Haller to Ajax.
As things stand, however, we appear to be nowhere near close to replacing the Ivory Coast international.
The Hammers have already been linked with a plethora of strikers.

One of those was Vincent Aboubakar.
ExWHUemployee claimed last week that the 29-year-old could be an option for West Ham boss David Moyes.
West Ham keen on Vincent Aboubakar
And now Turkish media outlet Fotospor suggest that the Hammers actually asked Aboubakar’s agent to travel to London in order to discuss personal terms ahead of a potential transfer to the London Stadium.

The former Porto ace is happy at Besiktas, however, and is not interested in moving away from the club this month, according to Fotospor.
That is somewhat of a shame.
The 29-year-old striker has been in fine form this season with 11 goals in 16 Super Lig games for Besiktas to his name. Aboubakar has also scored 120 goals in 300 career games (Transfermarkt).
So it seems as though West Ham’s search for a new striker is set to rumble on.
Quite who David Moyes will bring to the club remains to be seen. Let’s just hope that the Scot manages to bring someone in. Our chances of finishing inside the top six this season depend on it.
