Hammers manager David Moyes was linked with a move for the 51-capped Poland international in back in July (TuttoMercatoWeb).

And Football.London claimed in September that Spurs boss Jose Mourinho wants to bring the 26-year-old to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Arkadiusz Milik will cost West Ham or Tottenham £13.6 million, according to a report from Goal.

Corriere dello Sport (Print edition, December 28th, page 3) now claims that West Ham have an advantage over Tottenham, however, due to the fact that the Poland international would have to make do with being a backup for Harry Kane, should he move to north London.

The Hammers desperately need a new striker. Michail Antonio is a real worry with his constant hamstring problems. Sebastien Haller, meanwhile, has flattered to deceive.

Spurs have Carlos Vinicius but they could do with more competition for Kane with the Brazilian yet to showcase his true worth.

And Arkadiusz Milik would be a very strong addition for either of the London clubs.

Stats

The 26-year-old Napoli hitman has scored 114 goals in 271 career club appearances (Transfermarkt).

Milik is very strong in the air and plays as a target man type striker.

West Ham and Tottenham battling for Arkadiusz Milik

£13.6 million does seem to be a lot of money for the Polish ace, however, especially considering the current financial climate.

Perhaps that price will drop with Milik’s contract set to expire soon.

Let’s hope that we do manage to beat Tottenham to the Pole’s signature. Whether he ends up at the London Stadium or the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, however, remains to be seen.
