West Ham United want to sign Hertha Berlin striker Krzysztof Piatek this month according to a report from TEAMtalk.

In other words…ExWHUemployee says Moyes loves 28-year-old PL star and wants him at West Ham

The 25-year-old only recently joined the Bundesliga outfit. The 15-capped Poland international joined Hertha from AC Milan last January for around £22.8 million (The Guardian).

The Hammers have all sorts of problems up front.

Sebastien Haller was sold to Ajax on Friday and now David Moyes has Michail Antonio as his only recognised senior striker at the London Stadium.

Signing a new centre-forward is now a matter of urgency for West Ham.

And TEAMtalk reckon that Hertha Berlin striker Krzysztof Piatek could be an option for the east London outfit.

Piatek a good signing for West Ham?

The 25-year-old has hardly been in sparkling form this season with just four goals in 15 Bundesliga games to his name (Transfermarkt).

He does have a decent career record, however, with 94 goals in 243 games (Transfermarkt).

Standing at 6ft tall, the pole is strong in the air. Since the start of the 2018/19 campaign, Piatek has won an average of 1.7 aerial duels per game (Who Scored).

The 25-year-old would be a decent acquisition for West Ham as long as he is available at the right price.

Whether Hertha Berlin would be willing to sell the Polish ace so soon after signing him, however, remains to be seen.

We have been linked with so many players. Piatek is just one with David Sullivan’s scattergun firing uncontrollably.

We could do a lot worse than the Hertha ace, however. Having said that, only time will tell whether this is just another tedious link or if it has some real substance behind it.
