Junior Firpo has been offered to West Ham United according to a report from Calcio Napoli 24.
The Hammers need to sign a new striker this month first and foremost. That goes without saying.
Let us not forget that we desperately need to sign a new left wing-back as well.
West Ham look so much better when playing with five at the back.
Arthur Masuaku is still a long way away from returning to action, however. Aaron Cresswell just doesn’t cut it as a left wing-back and Ben Johnson is too young and raw to rely upon as a regular Premier League starter.
Junior Firpo West Ham bound?
Calcio Napoli 24 claims that the Hammers could address that problem by signing Barcelona ace junior Firpo.
Barca have allegedly offered the 24-year-old to West Ham.
The Spaniard would be a truly excellent addition for the East London outfit.
He has been described as an outstanding player who excels in 1v1’s, both from an attacking and a defensive perspective (Total Football Analysis).
The 24-year-old can operate either at left-back or left-wing-back. And he is exactly the kind of player Moyes should be looking to sign.
A loan deal with an option to buy would suit West Ham down to the ground.
Napoli are in the race for Junior Firpo’s signature as well, however (Calcio Napoli 24). So whether the Hammers will be able to beat the Serie A outfit to the 24-year-old’s signature remains to be seen.
