West Ham United are reportedly eyeing up a summer transfer window move to sign Manchester City Nathan Ake.
That’s according to a report from The Times who claim that Hammers boss David Moyes is very keen to bring the Manchester City man to the London Stadium before the start of next season.

West Ham’s need for a top-class centre-back is clear and obvious to see for everyone.
Angelo Ogbonna, Kurt Zouma and Issa Diop are all currently out with long-term injuries.
The Hammers desperately need to sign an elite left-back as well.

And it seems though the Hammers could be about to kill two birds with one stone…
Moyes wants to bring Ake to West Ham in the summer
The Times reckon that the Manchester City defender is firmly on the Hammers’ radar ahead of the summer transfer window.
We believe that the Dutchman would be a truly exceptional addition for West Ham United.
Manchester City signed the 27-year-old centre-back from Bournemouth for around £40 million back in 2020 (BBC).
The Dutchman has not featured regularly for Pep Guardiola, however, since moving to the Etihad. Ake has made just 17 Premier League starts for Man City.
So a move away from City to West Ham in the summer would make sense for all parties involved.

Ake would be a great addition for the Hammers. He has a key attribute that the Scot is after – the fact that he is left-footed.
Standing at just 5ft 11 in, the former Chelsea ace isn’t the tallest of centre-backs but he has a great leap and is very strong in the air. He’s quick along the ground as well.
Ake is a very strong tackler and has impressive positional awareness.
The 25-capped Holland international can operate as a left-back as well. And that will obviously be extremely attractive to David Moyes.
Eurosport claimed in January that Ake actually wanted to move to the London Stadium from The Etihad in order to play under David Moyes.
If there is a way whereby West Ham boss Moyes can prise Ake away from Manchester City in the summer for a reasonable fee, the Scot absolutely has to get a deal done for the 27-year-old asap.
