West Ham are interested in signing Ajax youngster Lassina Traore according to a report from De Telegraaf via Voetbal Primeur.
And ExWHUemployee backed up those claims when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast last night.
The Hammers won’t have things all their own way, however, with Wolves allegedly in the race for the 19-year-old’s signature as well.
David Moyes will be desperate to bolster his attacking ranks at the London Stadium this month.
Especially with L’Equipe reporting that Sebastien Haller is closing in on a move to Ajax.
And Ajax ace Lassina Traore would certainly fit the bill.
David Moyes has repeatedly suggested that he wants to bring young, hungry and talented players to West Ham.
So it would be no surprise if we were indeed after the 19-year-old Ajax starlet.
The talented young forward was recently described as a prodigy by 90 Min.
West Ham could secure themselves a future star by signing Lassina Traore
The Burkina Faso international has been in great form for Ajax this season. He has racked up nine goals and nine assists in 18 appearances in all competitions (Transfermarkt).
In 29 career games for Ajax, Lassina Traore has registered 12 goals and 12 assists (Transfermarkt) – a quite remarkable tally for someone so young.
The teenager is energetic, powerful and possesses explosive pace. He seems to have all of the ingredients needed to go on and become a real star in the game.
Traore has just 18 months remaining on his current deal with Ajax. So he could well be available for a bargain fee this month.
And the Burkina Faso international would be a sensational addition for West Ham if Moyes manages to get it done.
