West Ham United now want to sign Rennes forward Martin Terrier but the Hammers’ proposed deal for Gianluca Scamacca surely makes it impossible.

That’s according to a report from But! Football Club who claim that Hammers boss David Moyes could make a €40 million (£34 million) move for the 25-year-old.

West Ham have been linked with a move to sign Terrier before. But now it seems as though Moyes’s interest could be have been firmed up even more.

The Scot desperately needs to bring a top-class striker to the London Stadium this summer.

And Moyes has seemingly found the man for the job in the form of Gianluca Scamacca according to Fabrizio Romano.

According to reports in France though, the Hammers boss is on the hunt for more…

West Ham want Martin Terrier

But! Football Club claim that the Hammers want to sign the Rennes attacker this summer.

Terrier bagged 21 goals and four assists in 37 Ligue 1 games for Rennes last season (Transfermarkt).

Much like his name suggests, the Frenchman is a hard-working, tenacious forward. He has bags of pace, is a good finisher and is very strong in the air.

Terrier is also very good when playing with his back to goal, holding up the ball and bringing his teammates into the game.

The Rennes ace can play anywhere along the front-line and that makes his £34 million price-tag seem like really good value.

Nayef Aguerd obviously knows the 25-year-old very well indeed and it would be interesting to know whether the Moroccan has recommended his ex-teammate.

The thing is, with a deal for Scamacca seemingly all but done, we just can’t see West Ham signing Martin Terrier as well.

If Moyes does bring the Frenchman to the London Stadium as well as Scamacca, we would be truly shocked.
