West Ham United are ready to make a bid totalling €46 million (£39 million) for Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca.

That’s according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport (print edition July 13th, page 16) who claim that the Hammers could make an offer worth £33 million up front for the 23-year-old hitman with a further £6 million to come in add-ons.

That is allegedly greater than the amount that Paris Saint-Germain are willing to offer for The Italy international.

News broke earlier this week that the Hammers were already in talks to sign the 6ft 5in forward.

West Ham may need to offer as much as £42 million for Scamacca though according to Gazzetta dello Sport (print edition July 13th, page 16).

So it seems as though we are fairly close to meeting Sassuolo’s demands for the 23-year-old centre-forward…

West Ham ready Scamacca bid

According to Gazzetta dello Sport (print edition July 13th, page 16), the Hammers are ready to make a bid that would total £39 million for the Sassuolo ace.

That’s allegedly £9 million more than PSG are willing to offer.

Sassuolo may try and get £42 million out of the Hammers for Scamacca according to GDS. In our opinion though, he would more than worth that fee considering his outstanding talent and potential.

The 23-year-old is an absolute unit. He stands at 6ft 5in tall but don’t let that fool you, he’s so much more than a bog-standard target man.

Sempre Inter recently described the towering striker as an ‘unbelievable’ player.

Scamacca possesses exceptional technique and has one of the most ferocious shots in the game at his disposal.

The 25-year-old bagged 16 goals in 36 Serie A appearances for Sassuolo this season (Transfermarkt). He really is a very good all-round striker.

And the Italian should suit our playing style perfectly.

The 23-year-old has been described as a ‘world-class’ striker by scouting website Medium.

If West Ham do make a bid worth £39 million for Scamacca, it will be incredibly hard for the Italian side to turn it down.

Quite where that would leave the Hammers’ pursuit of Chelsea striker Armando Broja remains to be seen though.
