West Ham are now in advanced talks to sign Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo after having a bid accepted for the striker.

That’s according to claims from Italian football journalist Alfredo Pedulla who claims that the Hammers are now in advanced discussions with Scamacca having had a €47 million (£40 million including bonuses) bid for the 23-year-old accepted by Sassuolo.

We firmly believe that the Italian hitman would be a truly sensational addition for West Ham in the summer transfer window.

David Moyes desperately needs to bring a top-class striker to the London Stadium this summer.

Michail Antonio cannot be expected to lead the line on his own once again this season – it’s just not sustainable.

It seems as though Moyes is finally close to strengthening is centre-forward department at the London Stadium though…

West Ham in advanced talks to sign Scamacca

Alfredo Pedulla has tweeted that the Hammers are in deep discussions with the 23-year-old hitman:

The Italian football journalist then suggested that West Ham have in fact had a £40 million bid for Scamacca accepted.

£40 million for Scamacca would represent fantastic value for West Ham considering his outstanding talent and potential.

The 23-year-old is an absolute unit. He stands at 6ft 5in tall but don’t let that fool you, he’s so much more than a bog-standard target man.

Sempre Inter recently described the towering striker as an ‘unbelievable’ player.

Scamacca possesses exceptional technique and has one of the most ferocious shots in the game at his disposal.

The 25-year-old bagged 16 goals in 36 Serie A appearances for Sassuolo this season (Transfermarkt). He really is a very good all-round striker.

And the Italian should suit our playing style perfectly.

With West Ham allegedly now in advanced talks to sign Scamacca it seems as though we are really showing some proper ambition as a club…finally.
