Hammers boss David Moyes must make signing at least one established centre-forward his main priority this summer.
Michail Antonio is currently the only recognised senior striker at the London Stadium.
The Telegraph reported yesterday that West Ham could be eyeing a move for Chelsea ace Tammy Abraham in order to solve our centre-forward deficiencies.
And now Eurosport claims that the Hammers have actually made an enquiry for the Blues ace.
West Ham chasing Tammy Abraham
He is close friends with Declan Rice and that could help the Hammers secure a summer deal for the striker according to ExWHUemployee.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has so much attacking talent at his disposal. So it would be no surprise to see Abraham leave the west London outfit this summer.
Abraham, who earns £65k-a-week according to Football League FC, would surely be a very smart addition for West Ham this summer.
Especially if we can pick him up for a reasonable fee at the end of the season.
Abraham has scored 90 goals in 207 senior games for Chelsea, Bristol City, Aston Villa and Swansea City (Transfermarkt).
If given regular first-team action at West Ham, the 23-year-old could really reach a whole new level.
It remains to be seen whether the Hammers owners are prepared to part with the kind of cash that would tempt Chelsea into selling Abraham, however.
