The Hammers have been left desperately short up front after selling Albian Ajeti, Jordan Hugill and loaning out Xande Silva.
Sure, David Moyes’s priority should be to bolster his centre-back and central midfield departments before next week’s deadline.
But the addition of an established striker wouldn’t go a miss either.
The Telegraph claims that West Ham are looking to rectify their attacking weakness by making a move to sign Bournemouth ace Josh King, In fact, it is claimed that the Hammers are in talks with the Cherries ace over a potential move to the London Stadium.
West Ham were considering a move for the Norwegian hitman back in August, according to a report from the Mirror (August 21st, page 59).
The Sun reckon that King could be available for just £10 million. And that would be an absolute bargain for the east London outfit.
King would be a really useful addition for us.
Stats
The 28-year-old racked up six goals and four assists in 26 Premier League games last season (Who Scored).
In those outings, the Norway international averaged one shot, 1.2 key passes and two dribbles per game. He also won an average of 2.3 aerial duals per game (Who Scored).
King is an incredibly hard worker, has plenty of energy and stamina, and he would be the ideal man to provide competition for West Ham’s current forwards.
This really would be a great one to get over the line.
