West Ham United have made a bid for Chelsea striker Armando Broja thought to be worth around £30 million.

That’s according to a report from Sky Sports who claim that Hammers boss David Moyes is very keen indeed to bring the 20-year-old Chelsea hitman to East London this summer.

David Ornstein shared the bad news that Broja has linked up with the Chelsea squad for their pre-season tour of the United States earlier this week.

West Ham have seemingly not been perturbed by that though.

David Moyes is desperate to add a top class striker to his ranks at the London Stadium this summer. Michail Antonio is crying out for some quality competition and it seems as though he might just have that very soon indeed…

West Ham make Armando Broja bid

According to a report from Sky Sports, the Hammers have made a £30 million bid for the 20-year-old Chelsea forward.

The offer is said to be worth £25 million up front with another £5 million coming if achievable milestones are reached.

Moyes should be doing everything in his power to bring the 20-year-old striker to the club. And it appears as though that’s exactly what the Scot is trying to do.

He has been described as an ‘exceptional’ striker by The Athletic. Meanwhile, One Football label him as ‘lethal’. Broja seems to be ideally suited to West Ham and considering the way in which he stretches the opposition with tireless runs into the channels, it’s easy to see why Moyes wants to sign him.

The Chelsea owned ace is strong, quick and is a really, really good finisher. Broja bagged nine goals and one assist in 36 games for Southampton last term (Transfermarkt).

It is his all around game that has been the most impressive thing about him though. The way in which he holds up the ball with his back to goal and brings others into play has been truly magnificent to watch.

The striker absolutely tore the Hammers apart last season, bagging one goal and one assist in three appearances against us. He gave our defenders nightmares and was a total menace to our back line during all three clashes.

It remains to be seen whether the West Ham bid for Broja will be accepted.

If it isn’t, the Hammers owners really should be offering Chelsea more money. The signing of the 20-year-old would completely transform David Moyes’s side.
