West Ham have just been dealt a hammer blow regarding our pursuit of Chelsea striker Armando Broja this summer.
David Ornstein has claimed that Broja is now set to travel out to America this week to join his Chelsea teammates on their pre-season tour, when writing for The Athletic.
Hammers boss David Moyes will be absolutely desperate to bring a top-class striker to the London Stadium this summer.
Michail Antonio is crying out for more quality competition and cover and Armando Broja would have been the absolutely perfect signing for West Ham. He’s ideal for us and the way that we play.

There has certainly been a major bump in the road for the Hammers though…
Hammer Armando Broja blow for West Ham
When writing for The Athletic today, David Ornstein claimed that the Albania international is now set to fly out to America to join up with the Chelsea squad for their pre-season tour.
That really is a big blow for West Ham.
And we think that’s the main reason why we have gone knocking for Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca (Alfredo Pedulla).
Moyes should be doing everything in his power to bring the 20-year-old striker to the club
It appears as though Chelsea are playing hardball though.

He has been described as an ‘exceptional’ striker by The Athletic. Meanwhile, One Football label him as ‘lethal’. Broja seems to be ideally suited to West Ham and considering the way in which he stretches the opposition with tireless runs into the channels, it’s easy to see why Moyes wants to sign him.
The Chelsea owned ace is strong, quick and is a really, really good finisher. Broja bagged nine goals and one assist in 36 games for Southampton last term (Transfermarkt).
It is his all around game that has been the most impressive thing about him though. The way in which he holds up the ball with his back to goal and brings others into play has been truly magnificent to watch.
Armando Broja joining the Chelsea pre-season trip to America is undoubtedly a big blow for West Ham though.
And it remains to be seen how this one plays out…
