According to a report from Centotrentuno, West Ham have had a bid for Cagliari ace Nahitan Nandez rejected.

The Italians are allegedly prepared to sell the tough tackling midfielder, but only for a minimum of €35 million (£31.5 million) according to Centotrentuno.
Usually we would take rumours like this from foreign media sources with a pinch of salt.

Centotrentuno are a local paper who specialise and report exclusively on Cagliari, however. So there might just be some truth in it.
It would be no surprise if West Ham were in the market for another central midfielder. We need to provide more competition and cover for Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek. There is absolutely no way we will be paying £31.5 million for Nahitan Nandez, however.
So clearly some common ground will need to be found if the Hammers are to have nay chance whatsoever of signing the 24-year-old.

The 35-capped Uruguay international would be an excellent signing for West Ham nonetheless.
Soccer Souls describe the tenacious midfielder as ‘outstanding’.
In seven Serie A appearances this season, Nandez has averaged two tackles per game and has a pass completion rate of 75.8% from 33 passes per game (Who Scored). With those numbers, the diminutive ace would be a real asset for West Ham.
As mentioned earlier, however, it seems highly unlikely that David Moyes will be bringing him to the London Stadium next month.
