Report claims West Ham can sign Alberth Elis for just £10.3 million this summer

West Ham United allegedly could sign long-term transfer target Alberth Elis for a bargain fee in the summer transfer window.

That’s according to a report from RMC Sport who claim that Bordeaux could sell the 26-year-old striker for just €12 million (£10.3 million) this summer.

Hammers boss David Moyes wants to bring the 56-capped Honduras international to the London Stadium in the summer transfer window according to recent claims from Diario Diez.

Signing a centre-forward will be one of the main priorities for Moyes before the start of the 2022/23 Premier League season.

Michail Antonio cannot carry the central striking burden alone for yet another season. And it seems as though the Hammers could strike a bargain deal for someone who would be ideally suited to provide strong competition and cover for Micky…

West Ham can sign Alberth Elis for a bargain fee this summer

RMC Sport reckon that the 26-year-old striker could be picked up for just £10.3 million in the summer transfer window.

For that price, we think he would be a great addition for West Ham.

Now, the Honduran isn’t an out and out striker. He is actually a winger by trade, although he can operate through the middle as a centre-forward.

Elis was in fine form for Boavista in the 2020/21 season. He racked up eight goals and seven assists in 31 league games (Transfermarkt).

This season just gone, he has bagged nine goals and one assist in 20 games for Bordeaux during a loan spell with the French side (Transfermarkt).

The Honduran possesses blistering pace and plays with a certain kind of directness that could make him a real asset for West Ham. £10.3 million for the Boavista man seems like decent value.

He has acquired the nickname ‘The Little Panther’ having donned a Black Panther mask on numerous occasions after scoring.

MLS Soccer once described Elis as a ‘powerhouse’ forward.

There would be no guarantees that he would acclimatise to the demands of Premier League football. He does have all of the basic ingredients needed to succeed in the English game, however.

And if West Ham sign Alberth Elis for just £10.3 million this summer, we think the striker would be a very smart addition for the club.
