According to a report from the Record (November 27th, page 21), West Ham are still monitoring the situation of Sporting Lisbon ace Jovane Cabral ahead of the January transfer window.

The Hammers have been linked with the 22-year-old winger for quite some time now.
A Bola claimed that West Ham actually made a concrete £13 million bid for Cabral in the summer. Sporting were allegedly holding out for closer to £18 million, however.
And it seems as though David Moyes could make yet another attempt to bring the Cape Verde international to the London Stadium.
Record (November 27th, page 21) claims that Sporting are in discussions with Cabral regarding a new contract. And the Hammers are watching the winger’s situation closely.
The 22-year-old currently has a £54 million release clause (Record). West Ham may well be able to pick him up for cheaper than that, however, if he fails to put pen to paper on a new deal with Sporting.
Stats
The 22-year-old racked up six goals and three assists in 16 Primeira Liga games for Sporting last season (Transfermarkt).
In those 16 outings, the Cape Verde international averaged 2.9 shots, 1.3 key passes and 2.3 dribbles per game (Who Scored).
This season, Cabral has racked up two goals and one assist in six league games (Who Scored).
The Sporting ace is an exciting talent but let’s be honest here, David Moyes should have other priorities.
And it would be a huge surprise if we do actually attempt to sign Cabral in January.
