West Ham fans urge David Moyes to make one change against Aston Villa

Some West Ham fans have taken to Twitter and pleaded with David Moyes to start Said Benrahma against Aston Villa on Monday night.

The Hammers brought the 25-year-old winger to the London Stadium on transfer deadline day on a season-long loan from Brentford for a £4 million fee.

West Ham have an obligation to buy the winger for a further £20 million plus £5 million in add-ons next summer (The Guardian).

Benrahma has had to be incredibly patient, however. He has played just 19 minutes for the Hammers so far.

David Moyes has been steadfast in his refusal to change a winning team throughout the entirety of his managerial career to date. He is also notorious for easing his new signings into action incredibly slowly.

It surely won’t be long before the Algerian is given a starting berth, however.

It would be harsh on Pablo Fornals to drop him from the side. The Spaniard works so hard for the team and he never stops running. That’s what having a squad is all about, however.

Fornals certainly hasn’t been in sparkling form of late. And some West Ham fans have pleaded with David Moyes to start Benrahma against Aston Villa in six days time…
