The Hammers are keen to sign the 25-year-old Clarets midfielder this summer according to an exclusive report from TEAMtalk.
David Moyes absolutely must sign a top class central midfielder at the end of the season.
West Ham currently have a superb central midfield partnership with Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek having forged a telepathic understanding in the middle of the park.
The Hammers have only Mark Noble as cover for those two players, however.

Burnley ace Josh Brownhill would be a very smart addition for West Ham.
The 25-year-old is a very combative central midfielder. His tenacious tackling and uncanny knack of being able to intercept the ball and interrupt the opposition’s play through the middle of the park are key features to his playing style.
Brownhill has 55 interceptions to his name in 23 Premier League games for Burnley this season (premierleague.com).

West Ham receive Josh Brownhill blow
It seems as though the Hammers could be set to miss out on the Clarets ace.
Lancs Live claims that Brownhill has no interest in joining West Ham. And he would prefer to stay at Turf Moor to play under Sean Dyche.
The 25-year-old, who joined Burnley from Bristol City in January 2020 for around £10 million (Daily Mail), has proven himself to be a top class Premier League player this season.
If West Ham genuinely want to sign Brownhill, however, it seems as though they will have to move heaven and earth to get him this summer.
